Laser Welding
Fusion Clad Precision Technology Pte Ltd is glad to announce the upcoming service development of Laser welding to our customers.
Laser beam and an electrical arc, involved in an amalgamated welding process, has been known as early as in the 70s. However, for some time, no further research and development was undertaken. Recently, Laser welding has come back with great improvements, making it highly suitable for industrial use, firstly in approved processes for the Aerospace industry. Now, it has become a standard equipment and a requirement for many industries such as the Oil and Gas and Marine industries. The combination of laser welding with another weld process is called a hybrid welding process, which means that a laser beam and an electrical arc act simultaneously in one welding zone, influencing and supporting each other.
The main advantage we are focusing is the extreme low heat affected zone and extreme localised precision control of weldment which can produce super Hard facing weldment such as Tungsten Carbide Cladding on difficult-to-weld parts without Stress cracks found in other processes.
