Diffusion Welding Process
Diffusion Welding is also known as Spray and Fuse Welding Process. The process protectively coats machine parts and tools subjected to wear, using a wide range of Powdered Alloys. The selected alloy is introduced into the flame and propelled in a semi-molten state onto the preheated part, for subsequent fusion. Bonding is achieved by diffusion of the alloys into the base metal. Coatings ranging from 0.08mm to 6.35mm thick can be applied in a single pass. Deposit hardness varies from 15 HRC to 62 HRC depending on the alloy used. |
